LDK Solar is a leading manufacturer of multicrystalline solar wafers, which are the principal raw material used to produce solar cells. LDK has recently announced the establishment of project development initiatives, and currently involved with substantial project development activities in selected geographic markets, including Germany, Italy, Spain, Greece, etc.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Country Manager (m/f)

 

Location:   Italy / Germany / Greece / Spain / France / Czech Republic / Bulgaria

 

 

The Regional Director Country Manager will be responsible for independent general management of the designated area, and will have in-depth knowledge of the solar energy industry, including (project development and financing). The Country Manager must combine the required knowledge and expertise to work with project developers, debt providers, financial institutions, and EPCs, in order to execute renewable energy strategies.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

Management and coordination of all business initiatives in the designated country, including:

 

• Evaluation of market, business, and investment opportunities.

• Development of new business alliances, and continuous management of the existing business partners.

• Negotiation of  diversified business contracts and finalization of  approved contracts.

• Supervision of project development, financing, construction, and commercialization.

• Ongoing activities with debt providers and financial institutions.

• Business coordination with LDKEE European headquarters.

• Management   of outsourced tasks and service  providers (legal, financial, and operational).

• Execution of LDKEE regional strategies in the designated country.

 

Candidate Profile

 

• Specific expertise and related experiences in a senior position in the PV sector

• In-depth knowledge of  diversified operational and financial aspects of solar energy projects.

• Ability to independently manage a regional profit-center business unit.

• Excellent communication skills, including inter-personal, writing, and speaking.

• Proven capabilities in conducting negotiations and finalization of agreements.

• Creativity, flexibility, and strategic vision combined with analytical skills.

• Academic degree in a relevant field (MBA, Finance, Law, etc.).

• Fluent in English and the local language in the designated country.

• Full proficiency in MS Office tools.
