About the job:

As Semiconductor Technology Expert you are covering a wide range of demanding tasks. You are the link between the power semiconductor application and the power semiconductor technology. To ensure compliance with our customer’s specification you

• select semiconductor technologies and component concepts together with our semiconductor suppliers,
• define test strategies and testing depth,
• asses technical changes, and
• judge nonconformities of supplied goods.

You will provide support for our customers concerning

• the choice of semiconductors and other components
• the electrical design and
• the application.

Furthermore, you are running and leading

• research projects as well as
• analyses and measurements.

As manager of the Test Engineering Department you are heading a qualified team of specialists for developing test procedures and test programmes. Based on the innovative power of our rapidly growing company you are responsible for a wide range of demanding tasks. You independently allocate the resources of your department. In early phases of big projects for our industrial or automotive customers your team aims to secure the testability and the yield in the targeted series production. Therefore, your team is in close contact with our manufacturing and is negotiating with and developing together with our customers and test equipment suppliers. You are convincing in technical discussions with your technological expertise and your experience in the application of power semiconductors.

About your profile:

We are looking for a creative, open minded team player with good communication skills who has specific know how to be able to combine the field of power semiconductor technologies and the field of power semiconductor application e. g. in inverter design or control. You finished your studies of electrical engineering or physics as MSc or as PhD and you have relevant job experience in power electronics.
You are covering some aspects of semiconductor technology development, chip design or semiconductor manufacturing processes. Also, you are acquainted with the application of power semiconductors from the point of view of a power converter developer or power system developer, respectively.
Your English is on a high level, you are used to Office software tools and you know some standard programming languages. Ideally, you have already been applying computer simulation tools like SPICE.
